Helping Singers Become Artists

Improve your vocal technique without compromising your style!

Sometimes people are concerned about taking voice lessons. They think it will ‘ruin’ their natural style, making them sing overtly correctly or perfectly. Others think vocal coaching will make them sound generic.

As a matter of fact, it is the exact opposite.

“A singer’s uniqueness is the attraction and the goal.  It is about incorporating good mechanics into your original sound so you can do anything vocally that you choose.”

Do not be afraid of having good technique.  You will only sound formal if you want to sound formal.  You will only compromise your style if you compromise who you are.  Singing lessons are about learning to play the instrument in order to find your own voice. Instead of simply doing what a teacher says, like repeating scales over and over, Melissa’s approach teaches you how to play the instrument in order to develop YOUR style.  A vocal coach, will teach fundamentals of singing and much, much more.  Melissa Ellen has developed unique exercises you can use to improve your performance including using music that motivates you and that you intend to perform.  (This is certainly not formal or generic).

With Melissa Ellen as their  vocal coach, singers and songwriters learn performance techniques and song delivery so their songs get more attention!
