DETAILS FOR SKYPE (Online) LESSONS:
Modern technology now allows us to communicate using video over the computer internet. Using Skype software, you can have one on one live voice lessons from anywhere in the world. Skype is also FREE for basic use.
What you need for Lessons:
• Your computer with internet service and Skype software (downloaded and enabled)
• A web cam
• Music player other than the computer (cd player, iPod)
• Notebook and pen
How it works:
1. I receive your request for online lessons, we set up an appointment and I send you a Questionnaire and a Paypal invoice.
2. Make your deposit payment of $25.
3. Once I receive your deposit payment, you’ll get a confirmation email with some more information, another Paypal invoice for the balance due and a Questionnaire to fill out and send back to me prior to your lesson (Open the .doc, copy and paste it into a new document, save it as “SLQuestionnaire”, fill it out and save again).
4. The first lesson is a bit longer so we can chat, get things set up and in order, and make sure everything works. I’ll call you on Skype 15 minutes ahead of the appointment time. On all other lesson days, I will call you 5 minutes before your appointment time.
Students will be singing in front of the web cam with music in the background. Sometimes we do not use music. Sometimes we just do exercises. I watch and listen and give the appropriate feedback, basically the same way I would if we were in the same room. I usually give students homework (songs and exercises to work on) until our next lesson.
